About Us
Continental Floral Greens was founded in San Antonio, Texas in 1954. Larson and Nuria Everett selected this location as the gateway to the U.S. Floral markets for Latin American
greenery (Comador) and as a home for their expanding family. Starting
with air and bus service, they later added tractor/trailer deliveries
and other distribution locations to serve their growing customer base.Leatherleaf fields were established in Florida in the 1970’s and two sons, Jerome and Jim joined the business. The Leatherleaf Division of the company was expanded in later years, including locations in Texas and Latin America.
Next came a complete line of Hardgoods featuring CFG private molded glassware. Western and Christmas Greens production facilities soon followed and were opened in Washington and Oregon in the 1980’s.
The mid 90’s saw the need of a company specializing in the importation of tropical Mexican flowers. Thus, Best Blooms was acquired and continues to expand. With the Everett’s never known to rest on their laurels, a CFG Design Center was formed a few years after the dawn of the new millennium featuring CFG grown and branded products.
Nurias’ passing in late 2005 and Larson’s 50+ years as a business
owner set the stage for the passing of the torch. With Jerome and Jim
Everett assuming broader duties, four of Larson’s grandchildren (Jeff,
Kim, Jennifer and Seth) have taken on some of their former responsibilities to
continue the company thru another generation.Continental Floral Greens is very grateful for the support of their customers over the years and is honored to be known as one of the largest floral greens company in the USA with expanding service to Japan, Europe and the United Kingdom.
